Dan Karpel

Dan serves as interim CFO and chief accounting officer of Caleres. In this role, he has responsibility for the company’s finance, accounting, external reporting, treasury and tax functions.

Dan returned to Caleres in October 2025 as chief accounting officer, bringing with him deep familiarity with the company from his prior eight-year tenure. He has more than 30 years of accounting and finance leadership experience across public and private companies. Most recently, he served as CFO of Club Car Wash. Previously, he was CFO of CW Holdings which owned the Soft Surroundings and Coldwater Creek brands, and served as chief accounting officer for Eyecare Partners and Spectrum Brands Holdings.
